Pachypodium are a low-maintenance & hardy succulent, perfect for the Australian climate. Pachypodium rutenbergianum and Pachypodium lamerei have large leaves in comparison to the plant, which helps acquire water and carbon dioxide quickly, a special tool for those brief but quick rain periods. Grow in full sun, and keep watering regularly after planting until established (soil should not be completely dry during periods of active growth). And mind the spikes!
