Dracaena Draco (Dragon Tree)
Originating from the same family as Agave, this impressive tree is sure to make a statement in your sub-tropical garden with its thick trunk and interesting canopy of foliage. This tree makes an excellent alternative to Palm trees, similar in shape and stature, but adds more of an architectural element to your garden design. The umbrella-like canopy is supported by a singular thick columnar grey trunk, that branches out with growth overtime. Did you know that Dracaena Draco has a fiery secret? Its name comes from the Greek word 'drakaina' which means female dragon - inspired by the dragon-like red resin that oozes from its bark and leaves.
