(Dipsis Lutescens) A common palm known for its golden-yellow stems, clumping habit densely formed at the base, with bright green, arching feathery foliage. Excellent as a screening option, is fast-growing and grows well in full sun.

Light requirement: Full sun or part shade.
Water requirement: Minimal, thrives in drought once established.
Watering frequency: Occasional. Applying a layer of organic mulch around the base of the plant will help retain soil moisture.
Soil: Well-draining, fertilised soil.
Skill level: Suits Beginner Green thumb, low-maintenance plant.
Growth rate: Fast growing.
Suitable for container gardens: Choose a pot at least twice the size of plant. Water regularly if you are growing them in pots as it will dry out quickly

Leaf colour: The leaves are yellow-green, with a golden-yellow hue on the underside. The central stalk (rachis) can be gold or light green. The leaflets are arranged on either side of the rachis in a "V" shape.
