Palm tree- Pinanga coronata

Ivory Cane Palm. Lovely and lush clumping palm with creamy stems a ringed trunk and arching fronds. Grows well in full sun (ideally morning sun) or part shade, high-humidity and lots of water. Doesn't tolerate strong winds or frost. The leaves are pinnate in shape and mid-green.

Mature Width: 2-3m

Light requirement: Full sun or part shade.
Water requirement: Thirsty. 

Watering frequency: Occasional.  Applying a layer of organic mulch around the base of the plant will help retain soil moisture.
Soil: Well-draining, fertilised soil. 
Skill level: Suits Beginner Green thumb, low-maintenance plant.
Growth rate: Fast growing.
Suitable for container gardens: Choose a pot at least twice the size of plant. Water regularly if you are growing them in pots as it will dry out quickly 

Seasonality: Evergreen

Drought Tolerant: Yes, once established. 
Frost Tolerant: Can tolerate light frost once established.
Wind Tolerant: Established plants are more wind tolerant. 

Leaf colour: Vibrant green tops with light silvery green underside of leaf. 
Leaf Variegation pattern: No.

Size of leaf :  The fronds themselves can grow up to 1.5 meters long and 1.5 meters across, forming a spreading canopy.
