The Weeping Lilly Pilly is perfect for creating screening with it's dense canopy of draping foliage. This feature tree entices native birds with an excess of vibrant, dainty blooms during the summer season. The Waterhousea floribunda is grown on site at Lomalagi, under the Gympie sun.

Light requirement: Full sun or part shade. 
Water requirement: Water regularly to keep soil moist

Watering frequency: Water frequently when first planted to establish. Applying a layer of organic mulch around the base of the plant will help retain soil moisture.
Soil: Well-draining soil. Clay or sandy soil is ok.
Skill level: Suits Beginner Green thumb, 
Growth rate: Moderate to fast growth. Mulch and water regularly to establish plant for the first 3 months. Prune yearly to encourage dense growth and fertilise with a slow-release native fertiliser in spring. This plant can also be used not only as a feature tree but for privacy; prune to a height of 3 - 5 metres for privacy screening or hedge.
Suitable for container gardens: Possible. Choose a pot at least twice the size of plant. When roots begin to grow out the bottom of the container, pot up into a larger size.
